Rev. Adam Mixon has served as pastor of Zion Spring Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama for nearly 22 years, bringing more than three decades of preaching and pastoral leadership to his ministry. Educated at the University of Cincinnati, Samford University, and Beeson Divinity School, Rev. Mixon has combined theological scholarship with grassroots community engagement throughout his vocation.
In addition to his long tenure at Zion Spring, Rev. Mixon has held multiple leadership roles, including President of the Pastor’s and Minister’s Conference and Dean of the Educational Congress within the New Era Progressive Baptist State Convention of Alabama. He also serves as a preaching peer-group facilitator for the Lilly Group in partnership with Beeson Divinity School, and as a facilitator for Macedonian Ministry’s Reimagining Church Cohort in Birmingham.
Beyond the pulpit, Rev. Mixon is a committed mentor and author, actively investing in the formation of emerging clergy and leaders. His work as a community activist reflects a deep commitment to addressing social and systemic challenges through both pastoral care and public witness.
