She has served congregations in the Episcopal Diocese of Alabama, and in 2015 planted The Abbey, Birmingham. She served as the Presiding Bishop’s Staff Officer for Church Planting and Redevelopment from 2019-2025, walking with new and renewing communities as they discerned neighborhood shifts, institutional change, and new possibilities. Katie is passionate about helping people recognize Christ in the ordinary roads of their own lives.
